Oleuropein is the active ingredient from Olive Leaf Extract, found in green olives leaves.
Another active ingredient found in olive leaf is hydroxytyrosol. Oleuropein extracted from
green olives and olive leaves, are known in alternative medicine for its medicinal benefits.
Oleuropein is known for its anti-aging effects, its anti-fungal properties, its anti-inflammatory
properties and antibiotic properties .Olive leaf extracts have also been known to lower blood pressure.
Scientists discovered, in an international study, that olive leaf extract contained twice the antioxidants
of green tea extract and 400 percent higher than Vitamin C.
Hydroxytyrosol is one of the key active ingredients in the olive leaf extract. Hydroxytyrosol can also
be produced endogenously as it is a product of dopamine oxidative metabolism known as DOPET
(3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol). Hydroxytyrosol is a natural phytochemical with the highest antioxidant
Hydroxytyrosol has an ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity - its ability to absorb
cell-damaging free radicals) which is considered to be 15 times higher than green tea and 3 times higher
